The Good of Hampton Bay
Sold by Home Depot, Hampton Bay outdoor and patio furniture is even to find. You can walk into any Home Depot and look at different sets. If you want to have matching fixtures, fans and other accessories, then Hampton Bay has a great collection.
Additionally, the brand is affordable and in most cases very reliable. We personally use Hampton Bay ceiling fans in our home. Other than needing to replace them after 10-15 years, we have no problems with them.
The same set is manufactured under different names. K-Mart sells the set as the Martha Stewart collection. Sam’s Club sells it as well. Each place has its own warranty information. So it is important to check before you buy.
The Bad of Hampton Bay
Depending on the statistics, problems occur between 2-4% of the products. Considering thousands of sets are sold each year, this is a small number of problems. However, if you are in the small percentage, it can be quite frustrating.
Reading the consumer reports on the patio furniture, Home Depot does not take an active role in fixing the problem. They will often tell you to contact the manufacturer (not us by the way). JRA furniture is the manufacturer and it is them you need to contact with problems.
Apparently, the (562) 229-1718 number given for JRA Furniture does not work too well. Therefore, if you have a problem with breaking glass, defective chairs or any defect for that matter, resolutions are hard to come by.
